This collection consists primarily of Penn State's financial record books before 1940 and office files related to topics of community relations, facilities, athletics, investments, campuses, and colleges, plus 1 videorecording. This collection documents the administration of finances at Penn State through the 1930s and finances and operations in the late 20th century and beyond. The records of the early period contain a wealth of detailed historical information: early agreements beginning in 1856, cash books, bank records, and correspondence as well as ledgers and accounts. Later office files contain vital information related to Penn State's community relations, oversight of its facilities, administration of athletics, as well as investments. Specific financial records are not included.
